Dr. Fatih YIlmaz is an expert on firm finance, firm dynamics, and entrepreneurship with over ten years of academic research and consulting experience. Dr. YIlmaz had worked as an economist in the Structural Economic Research Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. He was actively involved in the research and the design of policies for the private and banking sectors. He had also worked as a consultant for the World Bank and took leading responsibilities in various consulting projects for public and international institutions, as well as private sector firms. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Calgary, Canada.
Throughout his career, he has published several academic articles in well-respected academic journals, such as European Economic Review, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and Economics Letters, and also policy articles in institutions, such as the KAPSARC, CBRT, IMF, World Bank, OECD, Vox EU and G20 Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Yusuf Emre AKGÜNDÜZ
Dr. Yusuf Emre Akgündüz obtained his Ph.D. from Utrecht University, Netherlands, in 2014. Since then, he worked first at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis and later at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. He is currently a visiting faculty member within the economics group of the Sabanci University. He has extensive experience working with survey and administrative datasets in Turkey. His research has focused on the empirical analysis of outcomes related to migration, international trade, education economics and firm dynamics.
He has a number of publications in international academic journals including the Journal of Development Economics, European Economic Review, World Bank Economic Review and the Journal of Economic Surveys. He is a contributing author to a number of policy reports and briefs at institutions including the CPB, CBRT, VoxEU and G20 Saudi Arabia.
